The Center for International Legal Education (CILE) at Pitt Law is dedicated to promoting legal education and upholding the rule of law, both within the institution and globally. CILE offers various programs for JD students, LLM, SJD, and Visiting Scholar programs for foreign-trained lawyers and academics, as well as initiatives to engage with legal professionals worldwide.
CILE can take you beyond Pittsburgh with exchange programs at the Sorbonne in Paris and in Augsburg, Germany, international internships, and other opportunities.
Pitt Law students have consistently excelled in international moot court competitions, with the guidance and support of CILE. Students are entitled to receive course credit for participation in any of these moots. That credit(s) will count towards the elective requirements in the International and Comparative Law Certificate Program.
